How to Find a Church Home
Prayer is an important part of the process of finding a church. As you seek the Lord’s direction, he will give you the wisdom to know where he wants you to fellowship. Be sure to make prayer a priority each step along the way.
If you’re not sure why it's important to find a church, find out what the Bible says about church attendance
VISIT AT LEAST THREE TIMES, THEN ASK YOURSELF THESE QUESTIONS:
-
Is this church a place where I can connect with God and worship Him freely?
-
Will I learn about the Bible here?
-
Are fellowship and community encouraged?
-
Are people's lives being changed?
-
Is there a place for me to serve in the church and opportunities to pray with other believers?
-
Does the church reach out by sending missionaries and through financial giving and local outreach?
-
Is this where God wants me to be? If you can say yes to these questions, then you've found a good church home.
If you are starting on a journey of finding a new church home, Church Finder® is the leading digital platform connecting millions of people with thousands of Christian churches.

Lord, please forgive me for ignoring bad behavior in the past. Remind me that by doing this for money, favors, or acceptance is wrong at all levels. From now on, Lord, please don’t let me ignore evil for any personal gain or group acceptance. Don’t let me endorse falsehood or turn my head to avoid seeing it. Remind me that good people are hurt when I avoid conflict to save face. Lord, help me to love Your truth so much that I’ll do all I can to promote it, obey it, encourage it, and honor it. To Your glory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

The Sword of the Spirit: Music of Praise
"Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." - Ephesians 5:18-20 (NIV)
The Sword of the Spirit: Passions of Praise
The book of Psalms gives us hundreds of reasons why praise is important, as well as examples of how to give praise to God. In examining those reasons and examples, one thing becomes clear. “It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High.” - Psalm 92:1 NIV
